What is Scene Labeling?

Scene labeling lets you name and organize video segments in AI Studios. This helps keep track of different parts of your video, making it easier to edit, manage, and rearrange scenes.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Enter Your Project:

    • Open AI Studios and enter an existing or new project.

  2. Create Video Scenes:

    • In the video editor, create scenes by adding content. Each new scene will appear at the bottom of the main video editing area in sequential order (1, 2, 3...).

  3. Locate the Scene Thumbnails:

    • Your scenes will appear as thumbnails at the bottom timeline of the editor.

  4. Change Scene Labels:

    • By default, scenes are numbered in the order they are created.

    • To change the label:

      1. Click on the small field with the scene number at the top left corner of the scene thumbnail.

      2. A text box will appear.

      3. Type in the new label that best describes the scene (e.g., “Introduction,” “Interview,” “Outro”).

      4. Press Enter or click outside the box to save.

Best Practices for Scene Labeling:

  • Be Descriptive but Concise:
Use short but clear labels that describe the content or purpose of the scene. For example: “Product Demo” or “Key Points.”

  • Stay Consistent:
Stick to the same naming convention throughout your project (e.g., all labels in Title Case or all lowercase).

  • Use Keywords:
Incorporate keywords that relate to the overall theme or key content of the video.

  • Avoid Generic Labels:
Avoid using labels like “Scene 1” or “Clip A” unless necessary, as they don’t offer insight into the scene's content.

Why Labeling Scenes is Important:

  • Simplifies Long Projects:
Labeling scenes makes it easier to navigate lengthy videos, saving you time during editing.

  • Facilitates Collaboration:
If you're working with a team, labeled scenes provide clarity for everyone, reducing miscommunication.

  • Streamlines Editing and Reordering:
When scenes are clearly labeled, rearranging segments is more intuitive and less prone to error.

  • Improves Project Management:
Well-labeled scenes allow you to track your project’s progress and ensure all necessary content is included.
