After months of refining the AI Dubbing tool in AI Studios, we're excited to introduce new features that make dubbing faster, more accurate, and easier to use. With improved translation editing and better synchronization, creating high-quality multilingual videos has never been more seamless.
🔄 What is AI Dubbing?
AI dubbing automatically translates and syncs speech in videos, generating natural voiceovers in different languages. Whether you're localizing content or refining translations, AI dubbing makes the process faster and more accurate.
✏️ Proofread Tool (new)
Refine and review the translated script to make sure your final dubbed video sounds natural and delivers your message as intended. Adjust the script, voices, and speakers for a polished result that aligns with your vision and your brand.
💬 SRT File Upload (new)
Upload an SRT or ASS subtitle file to generate translation scripts faster and with more precision. If you upload an SRT file in the target language, you can create either a lip-synced or voice-only dubbed video. The SRT file’s text and timestamps help improve accuracy by keeping speech aligned with the video.
💡 Proofread is available for Team Plan users and above, while the srt file upload feature is available for Personal Plan users and above.
Refine Translations with the Proofread Tool
The Proofread tool helps improve AI-generated translations for more accurate dubbing. Edit, compare, and adjust the text to make sure your video sounds smooth and natural.
How to Navigate to the Proofread Feature
Upload your video in the AI Dubbing tool and input the original language, target language(s), and number of speakers. (Uploading an SRT or ASS file makes translation easier.)
If you don’t need lip-syncing, select ‘Voice-Only Dubbing’. To remove background music or noise, choose ‘Remove BGM’.
Click [Proofread] to edit the translation before dubbing. (Processing time depends on file size, quality, and languages.)
Click [Export] if you want to skip proofreading and start dubbing immediately.
Proofread Editing Options
Adjust Speakers
If a speaker is assigned incorrectly, click the ‘Speaker’ column to fix it. Preview the audio and video to confirm.
Customize Voices
By default, the original speaker’s voice is cloned for translation, but you can switch to a custom voice or pick from the AI voice library. (Click ‘Original Voice’ next to the speaker.)
Edit Script & Timing
Adjust the translated script or timing for better flow.
If a script is too long, it will speed up; if too short, it may slow down or include pauses. Edit within the character limit for the best pacing.
Avoid overlapping speech segments to prevent audio conflicts.
Delete unnecessary speech segments (this can’t be undone).
Exporting Your Dubbed Video
Once you're happy with the edits, select how you want to export:
Lip-Synced Dubbing – Best for videos where speakers are visible, like interviews, podcasts, and presentations.
Voice-Only Dubbing – Ideal for animations, documentaries, and videos without visible speakers.
Why Upload an SRT or ASS File into AI Dubbing?
Uploading an SRT or ASS file gives the AI Dubbing tool a solid foundation for translation and dubbing. Instead of detecting speech and timing from scratch, the AI will use the provided text as the base for translation and follow the timestamps to sync speech properly.
This improves accuracy and speeds up processing since the AI doesn’t have to segment the speech automatically. While optional, uploading an SRT or ASS file is highly recommended for the best AI dubbing experience, ensuring better timing, smoother translations, and faster synthesis.
