What Generative Credits Are Used For
Generative credits are required for using certain AI tools inside AI Studios, specifically:
AI Image Generator — 1 credit per image
AI Video Generator — 1 credit per second (Typical video lengths are 5 or 10 seconds, which cost 5 or 10 credits.)
These tools rely on high-performance generation models, and credits are deducted each time you produce content.
Note: The AI Video Generator mentioned here refers to the prompt-based tool that creates short, audio-free video clips from text prompts—similar to Sora or other video diffusion models.
This is different from AI Studios' avatar-based text-to-speech video generator or AI prompt tools like Docs to Video that generate full scenes with narration.
Credit Use in AI Prompt and AI Helper Tools
Some AI tools in AI Studios, such as Topic to Video and other AI Helper features, allow you to automatically generate visuals that match your topic or script. When using these tools, you can ask AI Studios to create images that align with your content—but how credits are used depends on the generation quality you choose.
Some tools, like Topic to Video, let you choose between two generation options:
Use generative credits for premium AI-generated media – This uses a higher-quality model and does consume credits
Don’t use credits for basic generative model – This runs on a simpler model and is free to use
If you choose the premium option, credits will be used each time you generate or regenerate content. The basic option is a good choice for quick drafts or when you don’t need high-quality visuals.
Included Credits by Plan
Each plan comes with a set number of base credits that refill automatically:
Monthly Plans
Free Plan – 16 credits per month
Personal Plan – 60 credits per month
Team Plan – 150 credits per seat per month
Enterprise – Custom allocations based on contract
Annual Plans
Personal Plan – 720 credits per year (granted upfront)
Team Plan – 1800 credits per seat per year (granted upfront)
Credits refresh on your monthly or annual renewal date, depending on your subscription type.
Important Notes About Generative Credit Expiration
Unused credits do not roll over. Any remaining balance will expire at the end of your monthly or annual billing cycle.
Add-on credits and base credits both follow the same expiration schedule.
Add-on Credit Packs
If you need more credits than what’s included with your plan, you can add extra units to your subscription at any time. A unit is a fixed monthly bundle of credits that matches your plan type and renews automatically with your main billing cycle.
Personal Plan
1 unit = 60 credits = $10 (per user)
Team Plan
1 unit = 200 credits = $30 (shared across your workspace)
Credits are applied immediately after purchase and reset with your subscription’s monthly or annual renewal. Units are billed as recurring monthly add-ons that follow the same billing cycle as your main plan.
Add-on units are non-refundable and cannot be rolled over to the next billing cycle. If you cancel an add-on mid-plan, your remaining credits will stay active through the end of the current billing period. The add-on will automatically end in the next cycle. Add-ons require an active main subscription and will be canceled if the main subscription is terminated.
⚠️ Reminder: Units are tied to your subscription and will renew automatically unless canceled. Please review your usage and billing cycle to avoid unexpected charges.
