Select Background Photo or Video

You can select the photo or video you want from either the Media or Asset tab on the left-hand side. The Media tab includes stock photos, media, and audio, or you can import your own media into Assets.

For this guide, we will be using a stock photo from the Media tab. However, you can also choose a video to set as the background.

How to Set Media as Background

To set a photo or video as the background in AI Studios, select the media and click the "Set as Background" button located on the upper middle menu bar.

When you click the button, a small menu will appear below it, giving you the option to apply the background to all slides or just the one you're currently working on.

Here is what the finished product should look like!

How to Remove Media Background

To remove the background, right-click on it and select "Remove Background" from the small menu that appears. Another pop-up menu will then allow you to choose whether to apply the change to all slides or just the current one.

Now, you should be left with a solid-colored background -- unless there are multiple layers on top of it. In the case that you are not left with a one-colored background, check your layers!

How to Set a One-Color Background

By selecting a single-colored background, you can create a sleek and professional look for your project.

To create a simpler, single-colored background, first click on the background. If there is media as the background, you must remove it first. Then, the color customizer will be opened, allowing you to choose your desired color for the background.

There are three different ways to choose the background color:

  1. The first option is to use the color slider bars. The top bar controls the hue of the color, while the second bar controls its lightness.

  2. Another option is to use the large color slider box, which contains color sliders on both the X and Y axes, resulting in an intuitive gradient UI.

  3. An additional way to specify the color is through the hex code field, which uses a six-character code. This field can be accessed through the textbox located near the bottom of the menu.

To customize the colors of the slider bar and large slider box, simply drag the small circle buttons to the desired settings. This allows for a high level of precision and control in choosing the background color.

Using a hex code is a great option if you have a specific color palette or want to keep all colors consistent. You can copy and paste the hex code anywhere, and the hue and shade will be universally the same.

To adjust the opacity of a color, use the text box located at the bottom of the color menu. The opacity ranges from 0 to 100, which allows you to create subtle gradients and adjust the visibility/transparency of the color.

If you're looking for a quick and easy way to customize your presentation, changing the background can make a big impact. Whether you want to set a photo or video as your background, remove it altogether, or opt for a single-colored background, the process is simple and user-friendly on AI Studios.
