Writing can often be a time-consuming and challenging task that requires a great deal of effort and concentration. It can sometimes feel overwhelming to come up with creative and engaging content, especially when you have tight deadlines to meet.

To make this process easier and more efficient, we have incorporated ChatGPT into our script editing toolkit. By leveraging the power of artificial intelligence, ChatGPT can assist you in generating ideas, refining your scripts, and speeding up the overall scriptwriting process.

This how-to guide is designed for the in-editor AI Content Writer in AI Studios video editor. However, we also offer a standalone AI Text Editor if you would like to just edit text. To find this, please navigate to Dashboard > AI Generator > Text Generator.

How to Write Scripts Better and Faster using AI

  1. Find AI Script Assistant

    • Navigate to the icon at the bottom of the script editor in AI Studios with an Open AI icon.

  2. Enter Your Prompt

    • Use the text bar at the top of the menu to enter your prompt.

    • Ask ChatGPT to help write a script or edit an existing one for grammar mistakes and edits.

  3. Regenerate or Apply Your New Script

    • Click on "Apply" if you are satisfied with the generated script.

    • Click "Regenerate" to try again or adjust your prompt for better results.

  4. Review

    • After applying, the generated response will appear in your script box.

    • Click on "Listen" to preview the script being narrated by an AI avatar.

    • Ensure the voice and script align well with your video.

Note:

  • Not all generated information may be accurate or up-to-date.

  • Perform quick fact-checking before proceeding with any information from ChatGPT.

Best Practices and Things to Avoid When Using an AI Text Generator

Best Practices:

  • Be Specific with Prompts: Clearly outline what you need, such as "Generate a video script with only speaking parts in paragraph format."

  • Focus on Tone and Style: If translating scripts, specify nuances like formal or informal language to match the target audience appropriately.

  • Break Down Large Tasks: If creating long scripts, break them into smaller sections for better accuracy and easier review.

  • Iterate for Clarity: Use the "Regenerate" option multiple times and refine prompts to get the most accurate script.

  • Preview Frequently: Regularly click "Listen" to hear how the script flows, ensuring smooth delivery by the AI avatar.

Things to Avoid:

  • Avoid Overloading Prompts: Asking for too many complex tasks at once can lead to generic or confusing results. Break it down step by step.

  • Relying Solely on AI Accuracy: Always fact-check the AI-generated content, especially for data, names, and dates.

  • Neglecting Cultural Differences: When translating, ensure to capture idiomatic expressions and local nuances to avoid miscommunication.

  • Skipping Edits: Even if the AI script looks good, review and edit to fine-tune the flow and ensure natural readability.
