How to Create an Avatar with an Image or Photo
Access the Photo Avatar Feature
Log in to AI Studios and navigate to Dashboard > AI Avatar > Photo Avatar.
Upload a Portrait Photo
In the Photo Avatar builder, upload a front-facing photo of the face you want to animate.
For best results, use a straight-on image rather than one that's angled or tilted.
Choose a Template
Explore our selection of pre-made templates designed for various uses, including virtual business cards.
A Photo Avatar enhances digital assets like business cards, e-cards, or profile pictures, making them interactive and engaging.
Select a Voice or Clone Your Own
Choose a Voice: Select from over 100 voices in more than 80 languages, available in both female and male options.
Clone Your Voice: For personalization, clone your voice by recording a 10-second clip using the provided script. This unique option adds a personal touch to your avatar.
Generate Your Photo Avatar
Review your voice recording and the avatar’s appearance. Re-record if necessary.
Click “Create Photo Avatar” to finalize and generate your avatar.
Processing Time: Avatar creation typically takes between 5 to 40 minutes. If processing exceeds an hour, review this troubleshooting section below, contact support, or retry uploading the photo.
To find the photo avatars you’ve created, go to the 'Photo Avatar' tab in the Model menu while using the AI Studios video editor.
Why Your Photo Avatar Might Not Work
If your Photo Avatar isn't generating properly, it could be due to the following reasons:
Lips Are Difficult to See
If the photo of a person or character does not have clearly visible lips, the Photo Avatar will not detect where to apply lip-sync.
Low-Quality Photo
Blurry or pixelated images may prevent accurate avatar generation. Use a high-resolution photo for the best results.
Multiple Faces in the Photo
Photo Avatar currently works on one face at a time. If there are multiple faces, crop the image for each person and edit all avatars together using a video editor.
Incorrect Lighting
Poor lighting can cause inaccuracies. Ensure the photo is well-lit with even lighting across the face.
AI Provider Issues
If the Photo Avatar feature isn’t working, the AI provider may be experiencing downtime. Check the AI Studios status page or try again later.
Obstructed Face
Long facial hair, masks, or other facial obstructions can interfere with the avatar generation. Use a photo where the face is fully visible.
