Before reviewing the training video you used to create your custom avatar, please make sure you have sufficient save slots available.

To check this, navigate to AI Studios > Avatars and look in the Create Avatar menu to see how many save slots you currently have. Insufficient save slots is the most common reason for custom avatar video failure.

Creating a custom AI avatar in AI Studios can sometimes hit a few bumps. If your avatar video isn't synthesizing properly, here are some common reasons why—and how to fix them.

1. Obstructed Face:
Make sure there is nothing covering the area from your chin to your nose. This is crucial for accurate facial synthesis. Objects like scarves, masks, microphones, or even hair can disrupt the AI's ability to process your face.

2. Hand Gestures Blocking the Face:
Avoid large hand movements or gestures that might obscure facial features at any point in the video. The AI needs clear visibility of your face throughout the recording.

3. Facial Features Obscuring Lips:
Ensure that facial features (such as facial hair) do not obscure the movement of your lips. Trimming or adjusting angles can help avoid this issue.

4. Excessive Head Movements:
Try to keep head movements stable. Extreme tilts, rapid turns, or leaning away from the camera can make it difficult for the AI to track your face properly.

5. Limited Mouth Movement:
Exaggerate mouth movements slightly while speaking. If your mouth isn't moving enough, the AI may struggle to sync the avatar's lip movements with audio.

6. Poor Lighting:
Lighting should be even and consistent across your face. Avoid shadows, overexposure, or dark environments. Bright lights from one side or flickering light sources can confuse the AI.

7. Short Training Video:
Make sure your training video is long enough—typically at least 30 seconds to 1 minute of clear, focused footage. Short videos can lack the necessary data for synthesis.

8. Low-Quality Video:
Record your training video in high resolution. Low-quality videos reduce the AI's ability to accurately map your facial features, leading to synthesis failures.

Pro Tip: Always review your video after recording to spot potential issues before submitting it for processing.
