AI Studios allows you to automatically translate on-screen text (created within AI Studios) and scripts into multiple languages. This powerful feature helps expand your content's reach without the need for manual translation. Please note that AI Studios cannot translate words embedded in images or other visual assets.
If you are interested in translating a video not made in AI Studios, you can do so with AI Dubbing. AI Dubbing allows you to dub an existing video you may have and sync the speaker's lips with a translated version of the voiceover. Please read this article to learn more about AI Dubbing.
Understanding Translation Options
AI Studios offers two translation methods for video projects.
Translate an Existing Project (Single Language): This option allows you to translate a project into one language at a time. You can manually edit the translated script and on-screen text, providing greater control over the final output. However, it limits you to translating into one language per project.
Translate During Export (Multiple Languages): This feature enables translation into multiple languages simultaneously during the export process. While this saves time, manual edits cannot be made until after the video is generated. This is ideal for bulk translations but requires additional credits for each language selected.

Translate an Existing Project (Editable for One Language)
Access Translation Menu
Click on the language menu next to the project name in your video editor.
Select Language
Choose a single language from the list of available options.
Edit and Customize
Manually edit the translated script and on-screen text as needed.
Confirm and Save
Once satisfied, export the translated project.

We recommend making a copy of the original video project before using this feature to keep the video saved in its original language. Once the on-screen text and script are changed, retrieving the original version can be difficult.
Translate During Export (Instant Videos in Multiple Languages)
Navigate to One-Click Translation
After finalizing your video footage and script edits, click on the export button to access the video translation feature.
Select Language(s)
Click on "Select Language to Translate."
Choose one or multiple languages from the available list.
Adjust On-Screen Text Settings
To keep the original on-screen text, click 'Options' and select "Only Translate Script."
Confirm and Export
Hit the 'Export' button to start the translation process.
Retrieve Translated Videos
If videos do not appear immediately, check the 'Video' tab for completed translations.

Reasons Why Video Translation Might Not Be Working Correctly
Translated Video is Longer Than Original:
If the translated video exceeds the length of the original, the synthesis process might fail. If a project fails, edit the file and shorten the script to ensure it aligns with the limits of your plan.Translation Accuracy Issues:
Translations might not fully capture the nuances of the target language. We recommend using the AI Script Assistant (ChatGPT button at the bottom of the script box) to further edit the script and refine tone, formal/informal language, and other nuances to ensure the translation is accurate.AI Provider Issues:
If translation is not available, our AI provider may be experiencing issues. Please check OpenAI's status to verify if there are ongoing service interruptions.
